Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Blue Bottle Coffee is based in Oakland, Calif., but it made its name in San Francisco, where it now has four coffee bars (one in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, one in a garage on an alley) and a small fleet of pushcarts that makes the circuit of local farmer’s markets. On weekends, locals will wait 40 minutes for a cappuccino at the pushcart outside the Ferry Building Marketplace.

If there’s a line at the Blue Bottle Coffee in Williamsburg, it might be because it will take a while to sort through the menu.
